A fascinating atmosphere and unique memories!

Christian Dior's takeover of Saks Fifth Avenue was an opportunity to present a vibrant new canvas for Holiday 2023. At the epicenter of NYC Christmas, the Saks Holiday light show has become a must-see holiday destination.

With only 3 1/2 months from contract to opening, the international team rapidly advanced prototyping, fabrication, engineering, installation, and operation of a vibrant, modern display and light-show - respecting the brand’s original artwork and luxury aesthetic.  With a massive scale, complex logistics, and a herculean timeline, the team triumphantly produced a show stopping masterpiece.

Nearly 300,000 individually-controlled LED pixels, embedded into over 300 custom-fabricated scenic elements – were built in Italy, designed in France and the United States. More than 500 personnel across 12 companies and 6 countries collaborated to create this epic display that garnered widespread acclaim and unprecedented social media recognition.

American Christmas was honored to be part of the Christian Dior X Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday Facade Takeover. This epic project was a remarkable partnership and collaboration with 12 different companies across 6 countries which transformed the ten story facade of the luxury department store into a ‘Carousel of Dreams’ highlighting various symbolic codes of the Fashion House. These custom made works of art featured watercolor effects and three-dimensional metal elements.
